When a quartz watch stops or starts losing time, the battery is usually the first thing to check. Bring it in and our watch technician will replace the battery and check that the watch is running properly. If the battery is not the problem, we will tell you what we see and give you an estimate before any further work.

It is worth replacing a dead battery promptly. A depleted battery left in a watch can leak and damage the movement, turning a simple battery change into a larger repair. Many quartz watches also warn you before they stop: the second hand starts jumping in two- or four-second steps instead of one. If you notice that, it is a good time to stop in.
